Raised on a Kansas farm, I’ve been a pastor in the Evangelical Free Church of America since 1976; at Faith Church in Indianapolis since 2004, stepping down from the Lead role in January 2017 into a part time shepherding role, now called Pastor Emeritus. Linda and I have been married since 1972 and have four children and eleven grandchildren. Studying at Friends University in Wichita (B.A. in Religion and Philosophy, 1973) was important preparation for seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Master of Divinity, 1976). Serving in pastoral ministry in Sumner and Columbus, Nebraska; nine years in Wichita, Kansas and now Indianapolis, it is seeing lives changed by Jesus Christ that fuels my love to pastor and preach. In semi-retirement, the first six years included overseeing home schooling two of my grandchildren. I enjoy traveling with Linda to see family and friends. Seasonal biking on my 1974 Schwinn Continental is a favorite pastime.
Hi Tom! It was great to read up about you! God is good! Thank you for all you did in my life at First Free!

Lew,
Good to hear from you. My blog has been sadly inactive for the past few years so even the “About Me” page needs some updating. I’ll try to do that soon and hope to start writing again soon.
